A study for the first painting I am doing on Voltaire's Candide. This on is of the protag. letting the river take over he and his (unseen)companion's fate. This leads them to El Dorado. I love the story. Its amazing how modern the society he depicts is(kind of scarry actually considering when it was written... so much for progress eh?!)
The river needs to be much smaller and tighter, and they need to be at the foot of a mountain like Machu pichu. So the background is DEFFINITLY all worng but I wanted to focus more on him anyway. >> Hi resolution image <<
